Why software is not displaying my lost files?

This completely depends on data loss situation and the usage of storage drive after losing data. Some of the factors that affect recovery chances are complexity of the data loss; whether the respective drive was used to save new data after data loss; drive could have been severely fragmented and so on. If the drive from which you are trying to recover lost file has undergone any of these factors, then lost files cannot be recovered and displayed by software.
