You have to uninstall MS Office starter, MS Office 2013 Trail or MS Office Click to Run suite and repair MSI based installation of MS Office 2013. To do this,

  • Open appwiz.cpl by following same steps as given in method 1
  • In currently installed program list select ‘MS Office Click to Run 2013’ and click Uninstall
  • You will get a prompt requesting to uninstall your selection. Click Yes
  • Follow the instruction and then restart the computer
  • Again Click Start and type appwiz.cpl and click OK
  • Now select Office 2013 MSI based suite that you want to repair and select Change
  • Select Repair and click Continue. Finally you have to restart your computer after repair is completed

Method 3:

Note:It is recommended that you follow method 1 and 2 before and then try these steps if you continue to experience the problem

If you have one MS Office Starter, MS Office Click to Run 2013, MS Office 2013 Trail suite or MSI suite installed on your computer then follow these steps

  • Right click Microsoft Office PPT file that you want to open
  • Select Open with and then click Choose default program
  • In recommended program list, select MS Office Client Virtualization Handler or appropriate program to associate with file
  • Click to select 'Always use the selected program to open this kind of file in check box and click OK
