How to Fix Card Cannot Be Accessed Error in Camera?

Error Message 1: “Card cannot be accessed. Reinsert/change the card or format card with the camera.” Error Message 2: “Err 02. The card cannot be accessed. Reinsert/change card or format card with the camera.” Shocked to see the “card cannot be accessed” message on your camera?  No worries, this is a common error accepted by various cameras, with the help of this article you can easily solve your issue.

Quick steps to follow before its too late:

  • First, verify that the memory card is inserted properly into the camera. If not, then remove it and insert it back.
  • Next, make sure that it is formatted with the correct file system.
  • If the problem still persists, remove the card and attach it to the computer. And, see if the camera card is accessible on the computer or not.
If the camera card is inaccessible even on the computer, then recover all your files from the camera card and then format them.

  • Select it and click Ok
Format the Card on the Computer:
  • Go to File Explorer and select the camera card
  • Right-click on it and choose the Format option
