How to Solve 0xc0000225 Boot Error on Windows?

“Hi, I use Windows 7 on my system. The computer was operating very well and out of the blue it turned off. It started to show startup repair option after restart. And automatic startup repair is also not helping to resolve the issue. I tried several times to boot the system but no result. Now, all I can see is error status: 0xc0000225 on the screen. I don’t have much technical knowledge. So I really need help. I have saved lot of my work files on the system and even I don’t have backup. Please help me”.

• Opt Windows installation drive (C:\...) and hit next button
• Enter into Command Prompt via System Recovery Option
• Type bootrec /rebuildbcd and press Enter
• Choose Y (Yes) when asked to add Windows installation

Fix 3. Via Diskpart

In case, rebuilding the BCD gives no result then follow same procedure as mentioned above. Type these commands and hit enter button each time, instead of bootrec /rebuildbcd

• Diskpart
• list volume
• select volume X ( Where X is your active partition)
• active

Now your system should display the message DiskPart marked the current partition as active.

Fix 4. Restore Master Boot Record

Fix the error by restoring MBR, if it appears even after setting active partition. Follow above stated steps till typing the code list volume.

• Find CD-ROM under Type column
• Note assigned value in LTR column
• Leave Diskpart by typing exit
• Type X: (where X is noted down CD ROM drive’s letter)
• Type cd boot
• Type dir
• Type bootsect /nt60 SYS /mbr
• Quit Command Prompt by typing exit and restart the system

Bootcode was successfully updated on all targeted volumes confirmation will be screened on the display.

Still, the error 0xc0000225 persists on startup window regardless of any fix then you need to reformat the system and perform Windows clean installation.
