How to Play MOV Video On VLC Without Getting Stuck?

“Recently I upgraded my Windows computer from OS 7 to 10. I tried to play a .mov file in VLC this morning, but I couldn’t play video properly as VLC was freezing every few minutes and glitches were appearing on screen.
